Acceptance of Terms

Rouse is a social alarm app: you join wake-up groups, and snoozing is visible to your group. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Rouse.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rouse, and old enough to enter into these terms under the laws of your country.

Using Rouse

You are responsible for the name you display and the content you post. Keep your account for personal, non-commercial use.

Alarm Reliability Disclaimer

Rouse is not a safety-critical alarm. Alarms and notifications can be affected by device settings, Silent mode, Focus modes, battery, connectivity, or iOS behavior. Do not rely on Rouse as your only alarm for flights, exams, medication, work shifts, or anything else important.

Your Content

Wake-proof photos and other content you post are visible to members of your groups. Do not post content that is unlawful or harassing, and do not include other people in photos without their consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Groups & Social Features

Group members can see your wake status, snoozes, streaks, reactions, and wake-proof photos. Choose your groups accordingly — the accountability is the product.

Consequence Mode

Consequence Mode stakes (such as a pledge to donate to charity) are commitments between you and your group. Rouse does not process, hold, or transfer money between users, and is not a party to or enforcer of any stake.

Subscriptions

Rouse Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple account. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → Subscriptions. Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Prohibited Conduct

• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Posting unlawful content or content that violates others' rights
• Attempting to breach, probe, or overload our systems
• Impersonating others or misrepresenting your identity

Intellectual Property

Rouse, its logo, design, and software are our property. You retain rights to the photos you post, and grant us the license needed to display them to your groups and operate the service.

Limitation of Liability

Rouse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including anything that happens because an alarm did not wake you.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Continued use means acceptance.
